This was one the first projects designed by Mr. Shaw in collaboration with Mrs. Rouse, shortly after she graduated college and joined her father’s MS firm. This 4,000 SF office building consists of spaces to accommodate two separate entities and includes a shared conference and break room.
The design of this project took place in 2005 and was completed right before Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, resulting in a delay in progress. Construction was ultimately completed in 2012.
The corporate headquarters for the insurance firm of Stewart, Sneed, Hewes, located in the Bancorp South Building in Gulfport, MS, is one of the largest independent insurance companies in the US. Mr. Shaw was commissioned for the interior space design to oversee the project from concept through construction. This 25,782 square foot project was completed in July of 2005 for a total construction cost of $1.6 million.
This project consists of the renovation on two floors of an existing 6-story occupied office building. Scope of work included building survey and investigation, fire and life safety analysis, complete demolition of the programmed areas on two floors, and reconstruction of new a tenant build-out including mechanical, electrical, sprinklers, and fire alarm.
